First, let’s use the example of my first and last visit to the acupuncturist to help with my allergy symptoms. It has helped so many people alleviate their sinus pressure, watery eyes, and so forth.

But I couldn’t get over having needles in me. So needless to say, acupuncture was somewhat uncomfortable and I was too distracted to feel any benefits.

Similarly, when it comes to Reiki, each individual’s body is different.

Some may notice physical sensations such as feeling tingling or changes in temperature. Others may see colors, feel light or heavy within the body, feel sleepy, or just relaxed.

Many feel overall sense of clarity, grounding and healing. They may even feel a greater sense of mind, body and spiritual wellness after one Reiki session.

Regardless of the physical response, Reiki energy helps to clear the chakras so the individual vibrates at a higher vibrational frequency.

But is Reiki for everyone?

Reiki is not for people who have a pacemaker as Reiki can alter its rhythm. It is not always recommended or those with diabetes mellitus and taking insulin injections.

Nevertheless, if the individual is prepared to check his or her insulin levels every day, Reiki has helped to reduce the amount of insulin required.

Ultimately, Reiki can only be channeled for a person’s highest good.

After a Reiki session, many people feel a sense of mental, physical, emotional, and energetic wellness.

What’s a distance Reiki session like?

During the distance Reiki session, the recipient may sit, lay down, meditate, play some music, read a book, or go on a nature walk. The key is to still the mind.

A Reiki Master channels Reiki energy to the recipient with the intention for the healing energy to be channeled for your highest good.

Some people end up taking a nap because they feel so relaxed. Others may not feel any difference and that is perfectly natural too.

When the Reiki session is complete, it’s recommended that the recipient simply drink a glass of water for grounding.
