Top 3 Personal Finance Podcasts by Women

I’m frequently asked how I was able to achieve early retirement at 35. Ironically, it wasn’t because I worked for a Big Four financial company. It wasn’t because of my masters degree. It wasn’t my undergrad business degree either. It was personal finance podcasts.

Yep. The latest personal finance tips at your finger tips!

I’m a personal development junkie. Podcasts allowed me to learn something new while I ran errands, navigated rush hour traffic, and worked out.

Listening personal finance podcasts is one of the main reasons how I reached financial independence retire early (FIRE).

But why specifically listen to podcasts by women?

I listen to all types of podcasts by men and women. Many are not even focused on personal finance topics.

But when it comes to money, studies have shown that come out ahead of men when it comes to investing in the stock market.

In addition, I find myself relating most to the female podcast hosts who are ambitious girl bosses like myself. Most importantly, I resonate with their financial pasts and life experiences.

Yet, the wild journey to financial freedom made life much more meaningful. After all, life is all about the journey, not the destination right?

2. Afford Anything

Afford Anything host Paula Pant quit her job at 23 to travel the world. Upon returning, she hustled and invested in rental properties to ultimately achieve FIRE.

Paula Pant emphasizes, “You can afford anything, but not everything. This is true not only for your money, but also your time, focus, energy and attention.”

She covers different ways to build passive income through investing in real estate, index funds, side hustling and more. She’s authentic and down-to-earth as they come!

3. Art of Abundance

Not many people can discuss “woo-woo” and personal finance in one breath. But Certified Financial Planner Leisa Peterson skillfully covers money and spirituality like no one else.

As a spirit junkie myself, I love how she talks about financial challenges while drawing on different healing modalities from energy clearing to mindfulness practices.
