Feeling out of alignment with your soul path? No worries. As humans, we fall in and out of alignment with our soul path all the time! It’s ok to be out of alignment every once in awhile because that’s how we learn spiritual lessons that develop our soul.
We are all here to learn lessons be it patience, forgiveness, and so forth. The more lessons we are able to master, the more our soul develops.
We can learn these lessons through various life categories. These categories include family, career, relationships, health, finances, etc. Although we can learn from all categories, there is one or two of the categories that tend to be the dominant theme throughout a lifetime.
How do we know when we are out of alignment?
When we are out of alignment, we tend to feel negative emotions such as anxiety, depression, and anger. These emotions help us understand what our higher self is trying to tell us in order to course correct.
There’s a difference between feeling anxious before a difficult conversation and feeling anxious for weeks on end about an ongoing issue. Knowing the difference between what is good stress and bad stress can help us understand when we are truly out of alignment.
How do we get back in alignment...fast?
When we hit rock bottom, that’s when it’s really time to get even more quiet in stillness. Unfortunately, most people do the opposite and go into panic mode.
Rather than getting quiet, it may seem that the best thing to do is to act upon advice from everyone coming from all directions. It feels productive and it feels safer to be doing something. Ironically, it’s counterproductive.
Believe me, been there done that...and still working on it!
So what happens when we get quiet? We are better able to tap into our intuition. Our higher self tries to signal to us that we are out of alignment through our intuition. When we get quiet, we can better receive signs, symbols and synchronicities from the Universe to help us get back on track.
What is “right” about the situation?
Even if we are at rock bottom, we can shift our energy to be in alignment to a higher vibration. By asking ourselves what is “right” about the situation we are redirecting our focus to the things we have going for us. After all, energy flows where our attention goes.
Often times we focus on what is wrong with our challenging circumstance. We want to fix it and seek out ways to make life just a little better...then just a little more better...and it becomes a moving target.
When we pause to ask what is “right” about the situation, we are able to put ourselves in the frequency of gratitude instantly.
For instance, say you just lost your job. What is right about your current circumstances? Having a roof over your head? Having enough savings as a cushion to last you a few months while you job search? Your unique skill sets? Your health?
Perhaps it was a job that you didn’t even enjoy going to but was just too fearful to make a career transition. Perhaps it was a sign from the Universe telling you there is something better for you out there where you can be a greater contribution to the collective conscious.
Is there a silver lining?
A silver lining is the positive aspect of an issue. The term silver lining is used when someone wants to emphasize the hopeful side of a potentially negative situation.
The common expression "every cloud has a silver lining" means that even the worst events have some positive aspect. It’s not always meant to sugar coat things but rather to help find peace in a challenging situation.
Even when we are way the heck out of alignment, there’s always something to be grateful for. There’s always a silver lining whether we see it at the moment or not.
Most of us do not like the struggle required to develop and grow. Yet, life is about personal development. Our development makes life a meaningful journey, not the destination.
We often complain that the road to abundance is too hard, inconvenient, or takes too long. If there was a fast and direct way to success, the journey never begins.
Yet there is always an opportunity to find joy in challenging struggles. It just takes practice to develop that mindset for success.
The point is that there is a silver lining in every challenge. It’s just up to you to see it. You may not see it right away.
Why not reflect back on the times in life when you did get through difficult challenges. How did it make you into a better and stronger person today?
