3 Reasons Why Nothing is Wrong With You Just Because You're Single; why being single is ok, single and fabulous, women empowerment

Are you tired of being asked, “How come you’re still single?” or “What’s wrong with you?” I may not know you but I can assure you that nothing is wrong with you just because you’re single.

Maybe your family and friends keep telling you, “Stop being so picky!” or “No worries, the right guy will come along.” Well, it’s time for them to realize the following three reasons why nothing is wrong with you just because you are single.

My Dating History in a Nutshell

I’ve always been the single gal in my group of friends in junior high and high school. In fact, I didn’t have a boyfriend until my late 20’s.

When that relationship ended, I dated here and there and had one long term relationship in my 30’s. By the time that relationship ended, I was in my mid-30s.

Throughout my 20’s and 30’s, during the times that I was single, I felt a lot of pity from my married friends. I was constantly asked if I was dating anyone as if that was the only thing that was interesting to talk about with me.

I had a solid career making six-figures. I’m not bad looking and in shape from teaching yoga. So what was going on? It shouldn’t be THAT hard to find a guy?

Although I really wanted to be married before 30, it just didn’t pan out that way. In fact, I didn’t meet The One until I was 35. Ironically, it wasn’t until I realized that nothing was wrong with me when Mr. Right came along.

Here are 3 of the many reasons why nothing is wrong with you just because you’re single:

1. You can stand your own ground because you rely on your own abilities.

Nothing is wrong with you because you don’t need a boo to feel fulfilled. Being single allows you to get to know yourself better allowing you to better understand your strengths and weaknesses. As a result, you are more equipped to stand your own ground because you rely on your own abilities.

The list of successful and happily unmarried women is endless. Oprah is not married and she is by far the coolest person ever! Before the beautiful human rights lawyer Amal Clooney married in her mid-30s, she was living a very meaningful and fulfilling life!

In fact, studies have shown that by marrying after 35, women might actually be setting themselves up for happier marriages than women who marry in their 20s. Ofcourse this isn’t true for all marriages.

But the stats make an interesting point. Wisdom and emotional maturity tense to come with age which sets a solid foundation for any type of partnership.

Maybe you never want to be married or maybe you do. Either way, what’s a girl to do to maximize her single and fabo lifestyle? Increase her wealthness (wealth + wellness). Ofcourse!

2. You enjoy your own company because being alone does not mean being lonely.

Being single allows you the time and energy to focus on personal development. Specially, when you invest in your spiritual growth, you increase your human capital or wealthness (wealth + wellness).

For instance, using your alone time to work through energetic blocks is an opportunity for deep spiritual development. Having independent hobbies like blogging to reading self-help woo-woo books helped me be in the energetic flow. When I was in the flow, the more emotionally secure and confident I became.

Most importantly, investing in my personal development helped raise my vibrations, which in turn attracted similar high vibrational peeps. My friendships and support network grew deeper and more meaningful. See the snowball effect happening?

When you invest in yourself, you create space to expand your wisdom. The more you expand, the more you have to work with. Ultimately, the more you have to offer the world, the more wealthness you are able to attract.

Along the way, making mistakes can be a boost to our personal development. In fact, it’s not about failing. It’s more about learning from failure in order to gain clarity on the next steps to take to propel forward faster.

3. You make being single totally fabo.

Being single can be fabo when you make the most of your singlehood. I made the most of singlehood by investing in myself. I used the time to align with my soul path.

I loved checking off places to visit on my bucket list, staying in on Friday nights to binge watch movies, and just enjoying my own company. In fact, the positive energy flow from enjoying my own company led to start Not A Bond Girl!

When in alignment with our soul path, we are better able to attract who and what we need for our highest good. But it doesn’t mean you have to be high-vibin’ 24/7. It’s normal to not feel fab all day every day.

Sometimes, life is just downright tough. Dark nights of the soul are no fun. But difficult challenges are a part of life. The toughest ones can be the best opportunities for spiritual growth.

If you’ve been feeling off, you’re not alone. We all fall in and out of alignment throughout life. It doesn’t mean you have to quit your job and go on an “Eat, Pray, Love” journey. But you can incorporate more stillness in your day.

When we get quiet, we are better able to recognize when we’ve taken a detour. Then, we are better able to determine the necessary steps to take towards alignment.

Creating your high vibin’ lifestyle doesn’t happen overnight. It’s a lifelong practice. With consistency, various forms of positive energy can flow into life from financial gains, hidden opportunities, and priceless experiences.
