When it comes to website traffic, the quality of viewers matter. Not quantity. That goes for any type of business. Even the businesses that are structured around affiliate marketing and ads.
It's one of the many reasons why I track my client's Google Analytics weekly, not daily. Many will even argue that tracking website traffic once or twice a month is suffice for their business.
So what numbers actually matter?
Website traffic technically doesn't matter. What matters is the type of traffic. After all, when millions of viewer on your site take zero action, that equals zero profit.
When it comes to Pinterest pins that go viral, I like to see which titles, colors, and other pins features resonate most with other Pinterest users. Most importantly, what do the readers want to know that is leading them to click and read.
Yet, it takes time for algorithms and analytics to provide these key stats. So that's why many bloggers have said told me they prefer to track their Google stats once a month.
Can't seem to get the "right" type of eyeballs on your site?
Pinterest, Insta, Facebook. Social media marketing continues to change at the speed of light.
Yet, a business empire isn't going to build itself without the right digital marketing strategy. Trust. I learned this the hard way. It costed me two deadly M's: months and money.
How I increase quality traffic each day...
Through trial and error, I came across a few trustworthy resources to help me increase quality traffic. These are services, products, and companies that I have used and/or know are valuable.
Whether you are just starting out or in year five of running a biz, I got you covered. Here are my top three must-haves that helped me increase quality website traffic. And more importantly, these secret weapons save me months and money!
1. Automate Pinterest + Instagram posts.
Not sure when is the optimal time to post on Pinterest or the Gram? Me too. That's why I let Tailwind figure all that stuff out and automatically schedule my posts according to their algorithms.
Tailwind helps me manage my content, particularly on Pinterest. It offers marketing tools such as Smart Scheduling, Analytics & Monitoring, Content Discovery, Promotion, and more.
Tailwind Tribes and SmartLoops have been two of the most valuable features in terms of marketing and SEO strategy. New to these Tailwind features?
Currently, I'm using the Plus Plan for $10/month. It has saved me hours of manual pinning on to group and personal boards.

2. Teach free courses on Teachable.
How the heck does providing a free online course help with driving quality website traffic? Oh where do I even begin.
First, if you don't already know, I provide several free courses ranging from digital marketing to personal development. Teachable is where I create and teach all my online courses...for free.
The platform is user-friendly and allows you to get creative with color schemes, designs, etc. Here's the simple step-by-step on how I create courses on Teachable for free.
But back to how teaching on Teachable has helped me drive quality website traffic. By providing valuable free content through courses, I have a much lower bounce rate.
By building trust through sharing my top strategies in courses, I also have a higher percentage of return readers and increase sharing of my content.
Also, once in a blue moon my website might be down. But readers are able to carry on with consuming my content on Teachable without even needing to go through my site. So that's a win-win all around.
3. Promote valuable content (& create passive income)!
I get asked a lot of digital marketing questions on the daily. But I'm not expert in any particular social media platform. Sure, I know a little more than most when it comes to Pinterest but that doesn't make me an expert.
One of the many ways to build the "know, like and trust" factor with readers is to provide authentic recommendations and referrals.
By referring readers to those who know more about a particular topic, I'm able to not only help readers get their answers but also help other bloggers and businesses too.
Oh and there's an added benefit too! Passive income from affiliate marketing. Some businesses have referral programs and other incentives that allows you to generate passive income.
