3 New Ways to Monetize on Pinterest

3 New to Make Money on Pinterest as a Content Creator...

1. Creator Rewards Program: Create inspiring & actionable content

This is my new favorite way to monetize on Pinterest. The Creator Rewards program pays content creators for inspiring, actionable Idea Pins.

In a nutshell, Pinterest publishes new editorial prompts (goals) on a monthly basis. Every prompt details specific engagement goals, like getting a certain number of saves per Idea Pin.

When you meet the goal(s), you’ll see rewards in your bank account the following month. It's an easy way to make anywhere from $200 to over $2000 a month.

Note: Creator Rewards is currently in testing with a small group of creators. Pinterest adds new participants on a rolling basis.

2. Partner with brands: Tag brands in Idea Pins

Start by uploading an Idea Pin in the app. Next, add the paid partnership label to be able to tag your partner brand.

Then tag your fav brands in your Idea Pins with the paid partnership tool. Once the brand approves the request, that brand name will show up on your Idea Pin.

Brands can also choose to promote your Idea Pins as ads, boosting your reach to even more people. Show make sure your Idea Pins are inspiring and actionable from the start!

Note: When you use the paid partnership tool, you work directly with brands to define the payment terms and process. Pinterest will not be directly involved in payment.

3. Make Idea Pins shoppable: Tag products

Allow people to shop your recommended products!

Tagging products in your Idea Pins allow others to shop your fav products. Simply search and tag any product you want to recommend to your audience.

You can also tag Idea Pins using affiliate links so you earn commission when people click through and shop.

Note: Pinterest isn’t part of affiliate agreements, so your commission will depend on the terms you’ve set up with external merchants or programs.

How I went from Corporate dropout to self-employed Pinterest nerd...

About 10 years ago, I started playing around on Pinterest after I purchased my first home. I found all sorts of home decor inspiration and also a ton of useful career tips too.

Then when I was in yoga teacher training and getting my Reiki masters certification, I started creatings pins for my health & wellness lifestyle blog.

From then on, startups and small businesses asked for help with marketing on Pinterest. So I followed the signs from the Universe.

Eventually, that led me to start my own Pinterest marketing business. I created content for local businesses to international brands. And the rest is history...

To this day, I love creating content on Pinterest all day err day. And yes, businesses pay me to do it!
