In case we haven't met yet, I’m the founder of NotABondGirl.com. I've been blogging under the name Eve for many years so we'll keep it simple and continue using my pseudonym.
My journey to financial independence started when I couldn't stand another day of Corporate life. I became a certified Reiki Master and yoga teacher in the midst of exploring different career paths.
Let's get your financial ducks in a row.
We all know it's not easy being an independent woman. Maybe you outgrew your career, want to start a business or just take a year off.
But right now, you don't know up from down. I get it. In the midst of office politics and frustrations, it's hard to figure out the next step.
I was able to quit Corporate for good because I got my finances in order through simple personal finance strategies.
I’m going to be sharing these tips on how I was able to create multiple income streams from investments and side hustles. From money mindset tips to simple investment strategies, I got you covered.
In addition to blogging on NotABondGirl.com, I also enjoy teaching yoga and Reiki. But I wasn’t always a yogi or Reiki Master.
For most of my professional life, I worked in the public and private sector.
Over time, I burned out from office politics and being in a cubicle all day. But I did enjoy traveling the world and meeting a ton of amazing people.
Towards the end of my corporate life, I got my certification at yoga teacher training and later became a Reiki Master too. I needed an outlet for dealing with crazy clients, passive aggressive coworkers and micromanaging bosses.
It got so bad at work that I quit without a Plan B lined up. Multiple times!
Yep, I literally went into work one day and said I’m out. Another time, I tried being a little more strategic but I just couldn’t take another day working for people that I didn’t respect.
That was the start of my journey to financial independence retire early, also known as FIRE. I wanted to reach a point in my finances where work became optional.
It was a wild ride to FIRE. But by my mid-30's, I did it! There were several times when the emergency fund came in handy.
Emergency Fund, aka F-You Money
I hope everyone here has their emergency fund or getting it squared away. If not, we’ll go over tips on how to build up that emergency fund, aka F-You Money.
Throughout this FIRE journey, I realized that the key to financial freedom (and really any goal) is to approach it from a holistic angle.
Holistic approach to personal finance: Physical, mental, emotional + ENERGETIC
See, most times when we focus on reaching a goal, we approach it from a physical, mental and or emotional level. We often forget to incorporate an energetic angle.
For instance, say you want to get in shape. On a physical level, you may work out at the gym every day.
On the mental level, you may read health blogs. On an emotional level, you may address issues leading you to want to overeat at night or stress eat throughout the day.
What about the missing energetic approach to reaching your financial goal?
There are many simple ways to incorporate an energetic approach to help you reach your goal faster.
This includes envisioning how you will feel when you reach your ideal weight. It could also mean acting as if you already achieved your ideal body size. Basically, getting in touch with how you want to feel and living as if.
The key is aligning your vibrations to where you want to go. When you raise your energetic vibrations, you are aligning your frequency to match the frequency of where you want to be.
Same goes with creating holistic wealth.
And let’s just be clear. Wealth mean different things to different people.
For some, wealth means financial abundance. For others, it could mean an overall sense of wellness such as having a lot of good friends, a healthy family, being in optimal health and so forth.
There’s no right or wrong answer.
When it comes to building holistic wealth, it’s all about creating positive energy flow. After all, money is energy. And really, everything is made up of energy!
So to build wealth, we need to create energy flow. Specifically, positive energy flow.
Positive energy flow can be in the form of financial gains, health, meaningful relationships, hidden opportunities, priceless experiences, and so forth.
But increasing your wealth doesn’t just happen overnight. It’s a lifelong practice. With small but consistent steps in raising your vibrations, various forms of wealth can flow into your life.
And the good news is we can all create positive energy flow at anytime throughout our busy day.
A holistic approach can make all the difference in clearing stubborn money blocks getting in the way of raising our frequency to create positive energy flow.
After all, by holding positive energy, we attract positive results. So are you ready to create holistic wealth?
Whether you are trying to achieve financial freedom, change careers or improve your overall wellness, this is the place for you.
